TL;DR: Promoting the improvement of oral hygiene and oral health would contribute to reduce the risks associated with systemic diseases and to examine the detailed causal relations between oral health status and RA bidirectionally.
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the association between oral health status and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The study used a nationally representative sample of Koreans (2013 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey) aged 19 years over (n=6,113). Dependent variable was RA, which was assessed with oral health status. Independent variable was oral health status (periodontal status, missing tooth). The chi-square test and logistic regression analysis were performed to identify the association between oral health status and RA. Results of logistic regression analysis for association between periodontal status and RA was no significant. Results of logistic regression analysis for association between missing tooth and RA was statistically significant. The odds ratio (OR) for RA participants was 3.03 (95% confidence interval [CI], 1.47~6.23) in missing tooth 19~28 than missing tooth 0~8. The OR for RA participants was 2.08 (95% CI, 1.06~4.08) in missing tooth 9~18 than missing tooth 0~8. After adjustment for confounders (socio-demographic factors, health behaviors), results of logistic regression analysis was no significant. More missing tooth among adults was greater the risk of RA. By promoting the improvement of oral hygiene and oral health would contribute to reduce the risks associated with systemic diseases. Future study is needed to examine the detailed causal relations between oral health status and RA bidirectionally.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the environmental impact of the construction phase, the construction methods based on the construction process of residential buildings were reviewed, and an evaluation model for the carbon dioxide emission was developed based on LCA methodology.
Abstract: Greenhouse gases and higher energy consumption due to industrial activities have led to serious problems such as global warming. To solve this problem, various acts are adapted and many researchers have conducted studies to propose improvements. Furthermore, the construction industry has embarked on many studies to achieve sustainability of various resources required for construction projects. Most Life Cycle Assessment models developed in previous researches for use in evaluating an environmental performance, however, were developed for a manufacture and maintenance phase of construction projects. Therefore, it is difficult to evaluate the environmental performance in a construction phase. Generally, the environmental performance in the construction phase depends on construction methods used. Therefore, in this research, to evaluate the environmental impact of the construction phase, the construction methods based on the construction process of residential buildings were reviewed. Moreover, an evaluation model for the carbon dioxide emission of the construction methods was developed based on the LCA methodology. Through the developed model, eco-friendly construction methods that can enable carbon dioxide emission reduction are expected to be selected.

TL;DR: In this paper, the characteristics of particle crash of decomposed granite soil sampled at Pocheon area were presented and the degree of weathering was artificially achieved by means of hydrofluoric acid.
Abstract: In this study, the characteristics of particle crash of decomposed granite soil sampled at Pocheon area were presented. The degree of weathering was artificially achieved by means of hydrofluoric acid. Weathering index was firstly determined by the analysis of mineral composition. Then, particle distribution, permeability tests were conducted. The results showed that weathering effects on particle crash over entire particle sizes. Comparative analysis on specific surface between D 10 and D 50 indicated that the smaller the particle size, the more the particle crash. In addition, the most particle crashing due to compaction appeared around the optimum moisture content. The incremental ratio of specific surface appeared to decrease as weathering proceeds, which means that the higher the weathering index the less the particle crash.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a HILS system for simulations of mechanical braking of the Hanvit 200 train using actual ASCU, actual dump valves, Simulink, dSPACE board, and ControlDesk software.
Abstract: The Korean tilting train called Hanvit 200 was launched recently in Korea to improve train speed up to 200 km/h at conventional lines. In this paper, we propose a HILS system for simulations of mechanical braking of the Hanvit 200 train using actual ASCU, actual dump valves, Simulink, dSPACE board, and ControlDesk software. In the proposed HILS system, dynamics of wheelsets, bogies and car body, brake force generation, creep force generations are realized via mathematical models, and anti-skid logic is realized using actual components. The validity of the proposed HILS system is demonstrated via comparing results of real-time and off-line simulations.

TL;DR: Joo-Hyung Chun et al. as mentioned in this paper focused the e-service quality and relationship between e-services quality, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention in the AppShopping Mall.
Abstract: We can easily acknowledge the facts that the e-market is increasingly and quickly changed by the smart phone user's. This research focuses the e-service quality and relationship between the e-service quality, customer satisfaction and behavioral intention in the AppShopping Mall. Based on the documentary research, the empirical study was followed by the questionnaire. The 313 usable questionnaires were collected by a self-administered survey. The results reveal that the e-service quality determinants are factors including customer service, app design, security, connectivity and user's convenience, and that the e-service quality is directly or indirectly related to customer satisfaction and behavoiral intention. The AppShopping mall managers have to try on their best to find out the customer's needs, manage the lists of the e-service quality and develop the app.
