TL;DR: A cross-modal affinity network (CaffNet) that learns global correspondence as well as locally-varying affinities between audio and visual streams to overcome the frame discontinuity problem between two modalities due to transmission delay mismatch or jitter.
Abstract: In this paper, we address the problem of separating individual speech signals from videos using audio-visual neural processing. Most conventional approaches utilize frame-wise matching criteria to extract shared information between co-occurring audio and video. Thus, their performance heavily depends on the accuracy of audio-visual synchronization and the effectiveness of their representations. To overcome the frame discontinuity problem between two modalities due to transmission delay mismatch or jitter, we propose a cross-modal affinity network (CaffNet) that learns global correspondence as well as locally-varying affinities between audio and visual streams. Given that the global term provides stability over a temporal sequence at the utterance-level, this resolves the label permutation problem characterized by inconsistent assignments. By extending the proposed cross-modal affinity on the complex network, we further improve the separation performance in the complex spectral domain. Experimental results verify that the proposed methods outperform conventional ones on various datasets, demonstrating their advantages in real-world scenarios.

28 Mar 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for displaying a keyword advertisement through retrieval of an optimal landing page associated with a detailed keyword, and displaying the retrieved landing page for a user, instead of displaying a non-specific landing pages associated with the advertisement keyword included in the detailed keyword.
Abstract: A method and system for displaying a keyword advertisement through retrieval of an optimal landing page associated with a detailed keyword, and displaying the retrieved landing page for a user, instead of displaying a non-specific landing page associated with the advertisement keyword included in the detailed keyword. A method of displaying a keyword advertisement includes: receiving from a user a detailed keyword that includes one or more advertisement keywords purchased by an advertiser and character strings; dynamically retrieving a landing page according to the received detailed keyword; and displaying page information of the landing page for the user.

TL;DR: In this paper, the ramus communicans nerve was blocked in a patient with Schmorl's node, which reduced the pain by blocking the nerve in the patient's head.
Abstract: Histologically, Schmorl’s nodes are defined as the loss of nuclear material through the cartilage plate, growth plate, and end plate into the vertebral body. Most Schmorl’s nodes are asymptomatic, although there are some reports of symptomatic Schmorl’s nodes, which should be treated similarly to vertebral compression fractures, with conservative treatment as the first choice. We report the case that we reduced the pain by blocking the ramus communicans nerve in a patient with Schmorl’s node. (Korean J Pain 2010; 23: 262-265)

15 Nov 2007TL;DR: A dynamic integrated location service system and method for use in the system, and a wireless terminal for supporting the system and methods are disclosed in this paper, where the system receives location data from terminals having location data of different types, represents the received location data in the form of a single unified format, and simultaneously displays locations of the terminals on a map.
Abstract: A dynamic integrated location service system and method for use in the system, and a wireless terminal for supporting the system and method are disclosed. The system receives location data from terminals having location data of different types, represents the received location data in the form of a single unified format, and simultaneously displays locations of the terminals on a map. The system includes a location-data processing server for receiving terminal's location data of at least one format, and a location-data integrating server for converting the terminal's location data of the at least one format into a single unified location data format including location information marked on a map.
