TL;DR: The electrochemical reaction of lithium with the skutterudite-type CoP3 compound has been studied in this article, where X-ray diffraction (XRD), 7 Li nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and Xray absorption (XAS) experiments have been carried out.

TL;DR: In this article, six herbal infusions used worldwide (Matricaria chamomilla, Tilia cordata, Mentha piperita and Mentha pulegium) were assayed for anti-genotoxicity using the Somatic Mutation And Recombination Test (SMART) in Drosophila melanogaster.
Abstract: Six herbal infusions used worldwide (Matricaria chamomilla, Tilia cordata, Mentha piperita, Mentha pulegium, Uncaria tomentosa and Valeriana officinalis) were assayed for anti-genotoxicity using the Somatic Mutation And Recombination Test (SMART) in Drosophila melanogaster. All these infusions are traditionally used for various medical purposes, including anti-inflammatory processes. Hydrogen peroxide was used as an oxidative genotoxicant to test the anti-genotoxic potency of the medicinal infusions. None of these infusions showed a significant genotoxicity, quite the reverse they were able to behave as desmutagens, detoxifying the mutagen hydrogen peroxide. The phenolic content of such herbal infusions is argued to be the possible scavenger of reactive oxygen radicals produced by the hydrogen peroxide.

TL;DR: These results indicate that the NF-κB-binding site located at position −223 is necessary for the TNF-α-induced expression of the CD69 gene, and suggest that T NF-α has a key role in the expression of this molecule at sites of chronic inflammation.

TL;DR: The consumption of drugs, current smoking, and associated autoimmune diseases were independently associated with the risk of microscopic colitis.
Abstract: Background The cause of collagenous colitis (CC) and lymphocytic colitis (LC) is unknown and epidemiological risk factors for CC and LC are not well studied The aim was to evaluate in a case-control study epidemiological risk factors for CC and LC Methods In all, 120 patients with CC, 70 with CL, and 128 controls were included For all cases and controls information was prospectively recorded A binary logistic regression analysis was performed separately for CC and LC Results Independent associations observed with the diagnosis of CC were: current smoking (odds ratio [OR], 24), history of polyarthritis (OR, 208), and consumption of lansoprazole (OR, 64), low-dose aspirin (OR, 38), beta-blockers (OR, 36), and angiotensin II receptor antagonists (OR 020) In the case of LC they were: current smoking (OR, 38), associated autoimmune diseases (OR, 8), and consumption of sertraline (OR, 175), omeprazole (OR 27), low-dose aspirin (OR, 47), and oral antidiabetic drugs (OR, 014) Conclusions The consumption of drugs, current smoking, and associated autoimmune diseases were independently associated with the risk of microscopic colitis

TL;DR: A comparison of the state-of-the-art in ensembles of multi-label classifiers over a wide set of 20 datasets is carried out, evaluating their performance based on the characteristics of the datasets such as imbalance, dependence among labels and dimensionality.
