Abstract: The device is for movement of a machine part (58) holding workpieces. The part is driven in by a non/continuous traction unit (39) with a single drive train for a pref. two-dimensional movement. The drive train is driven by two stationary drive motors (40,41). Direction and speed of the motors determine the movement of the machine part. The part has a carrier plate or bar for a workpiece transporter, e.g. suction bar (43) etc. The carrier bar is held in guides (45) on a cross bar (46), which is connected to a lifting column (47).

Process for making granulate of polymeric material

Abstract: In a process for making plastic granulate, a polymeric material is plastifyed into a plastic mass which is divided into single plastic strands. After pressing the plastic strands in a stream of cooling liquid, the plastic strands are shredded in the cooling liquid into granules, thereby forming a dispersion which is conveyed through a first conduit to a separator. The dispersion is concentrated in the separator by withdrawing a portion of cooling liquid, and subsequently transported to a dryer along a second conduit which is longer than the length of the first conduit. In the dryer, the cooling liquid is separated from the granulate.

Countercurrent classifier for granulate cleaning - has thread catcher esp. for removing entrained floss

Abstract: A countercurrent thread classifier has a housing (1), a collection cone (8), an inlet (2) for a granulate to be cleaned and air inlets (9), the novelty being that a thread catcher is located in the granulate stream and spaced from the inlet (2). Also claimed is a granulate cleaning process employing the above classifier, in which classifying air supply is continued during cleaning and interruption of the granulate stream. ADVANTAGE - The classifier has increased sepn. efficiency for threads, esp. floss entrained by the granulate.
