TL;DR: In this paper, a cross-sectional study has been designed to describe and explain the health-related quality of life of Afghan refugees in Pakistan, where a questionnaire included items to assess well-being, mental health, health literacy, and factors affecting health and health care.
Abstract: Background: Pakistan served as a host for more than 1.4 million Afghan refugees for more than 40 years. Access to health care is the most important issue faced by refugees, because they might be at a higher risk for certain diseases. This risk can be attributed to a lack of awareness of health care facilities, health beliefs, inadequate hygiene, cultural differences, and malnutrition. Health of individuals is closely associated with their quality of life. Quality of life over the whole lifespan is pivotal to overall life satisfaction. It includes physical wellbeing, mental health, education, occupation, income, personal safety, as well as (religious) freedom. Until now, the health status of Afghan refugees has never been comprehensively investigated in Pakistan. Therefore, an assessment in this regard is needed to explore their health-related quality of life, for securing their human right to health. Methods: A cross-sectional study has been designed to describe and explain the health-related quality of life of Afghan refugees in Pakistan. Multistage cluster sampling was applied for selection of study participants. The number of respondents from two regions in Pakistan was drawn through a proportionate sampling technique. A quantitative research method using pre-validated questionnaires was used for data collection. The questionnaire included items to assess well-being, mental health, health literacy, and factors affecting health and health care. Descriptive analysis was used, whereas inferential statistical tests (binary logistic regression model) was also performed. The study received ethically permission by the Advanced Studies and Research Board of the University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. Discussion: The assessment of Afghan refugee’s quality of life in Pakistan should lead to recommendations disseminated to public and health care officials. This evidence is needed for policymaking related to adequate measures for improving health conditions of Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

TL;DR: This paper uses a different randomness test that shows behavior in the LibreSSL implementation indicating their PNG is not fully random, and found several aspects including block patterns of same digits within the prime number itself as well as among several primes.
Abstract: The quality of Prime Number Generators (PNGs) is measured by how complex their output is being reproduced or predicted. Several mathematical tests exist to verify the statistical behavior of PNG sequences. However, by changing this single-sided approach this unpredictability becomes more transparent by generating more than one billion primes of specific bit lengths, (32, 64, 128, etc.). Then the generated prime numbers show similar characteristics and seem somehow related to each other. This paper uses a different randomness test that shows behavior in the LibreSSL implementation indicating their PNG is not fully random. The analysis found several aspects including block patterns of same digits within the prime number itself as well as among several primes. Furthermore, the generated primes seem to be generated within a certain undocumented upper and lower boundary, which further reduces randomness. Cryptographic methods, such as RSA, rely on random primes which are now jeopardized in a different way.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method for increasing the lifetime of an ultraviolet lamp which is used in the measurement of the concentration of gases and liquids as an excitation light source in absorption, fluorescence spectroscopy or chromatography was proposed.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for increasing the lifetime of an ultraviolet lamp which is used in the measurement of the concentration of gases and liquids as an excitation light source in absorption, fluorescence spectroscopy or chromatography, in which a sample is irradiated by ultraviolet light, the change of the ultraviolet intensity through molecular absorption or the alteration of a fluorescence as a result of a molecular concentration change is measured by means of a photodetector, only values within a specific time, the measuring time, being of interest to the user and not those outside this time, the pause time. To achieve this object, a pulsed gas discharge lamp is used which is switched on only during the measuring time and is switched off during the pause time, and in which the measuring time is correlated with expected measuring results.

TL;DR: In this paper, a Hypothese gepruft, inwieweit S/R bei Vorliegen einer Gratifikationskrise (Arbeitsunzufriedenheit), also einem Missverhaltnis aus Belohnung und Anstrengung, stressmindernd wirkt.
Abstract: Hintergrund Zunehmender Arbeitsstress wird fur die steigenden AU-Tage aufgrund psychischer Storungen verantwortlich gemacht.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of controlling the casting parameters in the pre-fill, mold-filling and/or dwell pressure phase of the casting process in a cold-chamber die-casting machine is presented.
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of controlling the casting parameters in the pre-fill, mould-filling and/or dwell pressure phase of the casting process in a cold-chamber die-casting machine, the casting phases being controlled as a function of the travel of a piston, which can be displaced longitudinally inside the casting chamber, in conjunction with the amount of molten metal introduced. In order to ensure precise control of the most diverse casting parameters during the pre-fill, mold-filling or dwell pressure phase of the casting process, the exact amount of molten metal (5) present in the casting chamber (2) is determined without contact by means of an optical measurement device (8), the signal from which is processed in a control device (12).
