TL;DR: In this article, the problem of multi-task learning with copula process is addressed and a transductive approximation of the copula model is presented. But, the model is not suitable for the non-Gaussian prior assumption and it does not capture the dependence structure of random variables.
Abstract: We tackle the problem of multi-task learning with copula process. Multivariable prediction in spatial and spatial-temporal processes such as natural resource estimation and pollution monitoring have been typically addressed using techniques based on Gaussian processes and co-Kriging. While the Gaussian prior assumption is convenient from analytical and computational perspectives, nature is dominated by non-Gaussian likelihoods. Copula processes are an elegant and flexible solution to handle various non-Gaussian likelihoods by capturing the dependence structure of random variables with cumulative distribution functions rather than their marginals. We show how multi-task learning for copula processes can be used to improve multivariable prediction for problems where the simple Gaussianity prior assumption does not hold. Then, we present a transductive approximation for multi-task learning and derive analytical expressions for the copula process model. The approach is evaluated and compared to other techniques in one artificial dataset and two publicly available datasets for natural resource estimation and concrete slump prediction.

TL;DR: In this article, a flat-top chain is produced by feeding the strip into a punching unit at the front side of an automatic forming and assembly machine, where blanks are produced, after which the latter are fed by means of a suitable feed unit to a bending station where the final deformation to give chain links and the lining up of the chain links takes place, chain pins being fed in from the machine rear side, where they have been produced, and finally the finished chain is wound up on a winding unit likewise assigned to the automatic form and assembly device.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of flat-top chains, in which the strip is fed into a punching unit at the front side of an automatic forming and assembly machine, where blanks are produced, after which the latter are fed by means of a suitable feed unit to a bending station where the final deformation to give chain links and the lining up of the chain links takes place, chain pins being fed in from the machine rear side, where they have been produced, and finally the finished chain is wound up on a winding unit likewise assigned to the automatic forming and assembly device. The invention furthermore relates to an apparatus for carrying out this process and to progressive compound tools which can be used for the apparatus.
