TL;DR: An investment casting mold base has an enlarged, ellipsoidal-shaped body overlying a frusto conical shape body on the base, which forms a molten metal staging cavity between a funnel cavity at the entrance of the mold formed by the frusto body and sprue channels leading to the article cavity in the mold as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: An investment casting mold base has an enlarged, ellipsoidal-shaped body overlying a frusto conical-shaped body on the base. The enlarged body will form a molten metal staging cavity between a funnel cavity at the entrance of the mold formed by the frusto conical body and sprue channels leading to the article cavity in the mold. The staging cavity eliminates backup of molten metal at the mold entrance and possible spillover of the metal from the crucible mated to the mold during the centrifugal casting operation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a cargo pallet is supported by a system of multiple ball or roller assemblies acting in conjunction with an interconnected hydraulic pallet support system to produce a multiplicity of equal lifting forces acting over the bottom surface of the pallet.
Abstract: A cargo pallet, pallet support and restraint system which distributes the supporting forces equally over the bottom of the cargo pallet, even though the cargo load forces are concentrated and unevenly distributed over the pallet. The pallet is supported by a system of multiple ball or roller assemblies acting in conjunction with an interconnected hydraulic pallet support system to produce a multiplicity of equal lifting forces acting over the bottom surface of the pallet. Rails located at the pallet periphery restrain the pallet's upward movement and thereby introduce forces opposing those of the hydraulic pallet support system. The force and torque interactions among the areas of load concentration, the interconnected hydraulic pallet support system, the restraining rails, and the pallet structure rigidity, distributes the concentrated load evenly over the bottom of the pallet by hydraulically maintaining an equal supporting force from each of the underlying pallet support ball or roller assemblies.

TL;DR: In this paper, the ground surface is divided into a matrix of sections, each with its own crossways conveyor, and several ground levels are superposed and a hoist has a raisable platform complete with longitudinal and cross conveyors.
Abstract: The longitudinal conveyors (4) are divided into successive sectors to enable goods (10) in any one sector to be moved independently of the goods in the other sectors. Each conveyor contains a powered endless belt (12) whose upper run (18) runs on rollers. These are grouped to be raisable per sector to ensure that the conveying run only takes the goods onto the raised roller group. In their lowered setting, the longitudinal and crossways conveyors lie in planes below the ground (2). The ground surface is divided into a matrix of sections, each with its own crossways conveyor. Several ground levels are superposed and a hoist has a raisable platform complete with longitudinal and cross conveyors.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors introduced the concept of ballast-enriched products, i.e., products contg. from plants or their parts from which (I) and/or (II) have been at least partly removed.
Abstract: Processing of plants or their parts, esp. lupin seeds, contg. proteins and alkaloids comprises at least 2 separate extn. with water in which in one step antinutritive cpds. (I) and in the other proteins (II) are extracted. Both extn. are done under atmospheric conditions. Also new are (1) ballast-enriched products (A) of protein-contg. plants or their parts from which (I) and/or (II) have been at least partly removed; (2) plant-based protein milk, pref. from lupins, from which (I) have been at least partly extracted and protein-contg. products derived from it; (3) protein hydrolysate prepd. from the materials of (2); (4) fresh products made at least partly from the materials of (2); (5) products contg. ballast materials and (II) prepd. from a (II)-contg. plant seed, e.g. lupins or soyabeans, by dehusking then extn. of (I).
