Abstract: The core (13) has its ends fixed to mirror-image symmetrical holding arms (14) which extend radially w.r.t. the centre of curvature and are terminated with eyelets having axes at right angles to the plane of the axis of the core.The two spindles (3,4) are aligned (5) with a tangent to the core, along which the winding (8) proceeds as the head (7) slides along its guide (6). Abstract: Im vorliegenden Kapitel werden Grundbegriffe, Konzepte und Zielgrosen der Produktionsoptimierung erlautert. Letztere konnen anhand von Leistungskennzahlen quantifiziert werden. Es wird dargelegt, wie die verschiedenen Leistungskennzahlen definiert sind und wie deren Datengrundlage im Rahmen der Maschinen- und Betriebsdatenerfassung ermittelt wird. Elementare Leistungskennzahlen haben einen unmittelbaren Bezug zu einer bestimmten Art von Verschwendung. Aus deren Produkten ergeben sich verdichtete Kennzahlen wie die Gesamtanlageneffektivitat (engl. Overall Equipment Effectiveness, kurz OEE) und die Gesamtprozesseffizienz (engl. Overall Process Efficiency, kurz OPE).

Sharing Practice in an International Context – a Critique of the Benefits of International Exchanges for Trainee Teachers

Abstract: This reflective article is based on the experiences of two years of teacher training students from the University of Northampton and the Pedagogical University of Weingarten. This article looks more closely at the benefits that international exchange experiences have afforded the trainee teachers involved and how challenges to the process have been addressed. This reflection reveals the value of international exchanges in challenging perceptions and assumptions and how the thinking of the trainee teachers changed following the exchange. This study employs a qualitative approach drawing upon the reflections and experiences of the participants through written and spoken data. The findings reveal trainee teachers developed skills specific to teaching and in particular teaching languages, they also demonstrated an increased awareness of non teaching specific skills such as problem solving and intercultural sensitivity. The reflections offer an insight into how trainee teachers, use, interpret and subsequently act upon the experiences offered in an international exchange.
