Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of a future H 2 transportation on atmospheric pollution in Europe

TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluate the potential influence of a future H2-based road transportation on the regional air quality in Europe, implemented H2 in the atmospheric transport and chemistry model LOTOS-EUROS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Trace element characterization of fine particulate matter and assessment of associated health risk in mining area, transportation routes and institutional area of Dhanbad, India

TL;DR: The significantly high HQ values posed by PM2.5-bound Co and Ni and intensification of HI values for multielemental exposure indicate high potential of non-carcinogenic health risk associated with inhalation exposure, indicating the vulnerability of adults toward inhalation-induced carcinogenic risk posed byPM2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Short-term effects of air pollution on respiratory mortality in Ahvaz, Iran.

TL;DR: Air pollution in Ahvaz is probably causing increased respiratory mortality, and major air pollutants including O3, PM10, NO2, CO, and SO2 were evaluated on respiratory mortality in different gender and age groups using a quasi-Poisson, second degree polynomial constrained, distributed lag model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solar electricity production and taxi electrical vehicle conversion in Chile

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the conversion of both taxis and "colectivos" into electric vehicles (EV) to be used in the Chilean public transport sector, and showed that EV conversion does not lead to real environmental benefits, in comparison to its conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) when it is charged with the grid.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigating the environmental quality deterioration and human health hazard caused by heating emissions.

TL;DR: Heating impact index (HII) as a new comprehensive evaluation index was introduced and can be used to assess the urgency of the heating improvement in the studied regions and provide a guide for the Chinese government and relevant departments to improve the heating system and reduce human health hazard.
