Fibrinogen acts as a bridging molecule in the adherence of Staphylococcus aureus to cultured human endothelial cells.

TL;DR: Adherence assays were developed to study the role of blood factors in the mediation of staphylococcal adherence to cultured human umbilical vein endothelium in vitro and indicate that the preferential attachment of S. aureus to endothelial cells is mediated by fibrinogen adsorbed from plasma onto the endothelial surface.

Role of fibronectin-stimulated tumor cell migration in glioma invasion in vivo: clinical significance of fibronectin and fibronectin receptor expressed in human glioma tissues.

TL;DR: Fructose deposited in the extracellular matrix of tumors, which can be derived from both plasma and the tumor cell itself, strongly promotes the migration of glioma cells, and that expression of the fibronectin receptor may play a critical role in the biological behavior of the tumor cells, particularly in fibronctin-stimulated cell migration in vivo is suggested.

TL;DR: The lipoxygenase metabolite of arachidonic acid, 120‐(s)‐HETE, regulates the surface expression and function of the αIIbβ3, integrin in B16a cells, and the hypothesis that microfilaments and intermediate filaments have a profound role in regulating the expression of a multifunctional integrin is supported.

Platelet membrane glycoprotein IIb/IIIa: member of a family of Arg-Gly-Asp--specific adhesion receptors
