Molecular properties and biogenesis of phytochrome I and II
TL;DR: The expression of PI genes is photoreversibly inhibited by the photostable Pfr pool, while that of several other genes, like Cab, appears to be induced by PI in the Pfr form, suggesting that autoregulation of phytochrome gene expression is not so simply governed in plants as thought earlier.
Journal ArticleDOI
In situ observation of silicalite nucleation and growth: A light-scattering study
TL;DR: In this paper, light-scattering techniques have been used for direct, in situ observation of a crystallizing zeolite system and information has been acquired on the kinetics of the early stages of the crystallization of silicalite and on the influence of various synthesis parameters on both nucleation and growth steps.
Journal ArticleDOI
Uniaxial deformation of overstretched polyethylene: In-situ synchrotron small angle X-ray scattering study
Yujing Tang,Zhiyong Jiang,Yongfeng Men,Lijia An,Hans-Friedrich Enderle,Dieter Lilge,Stephan V. Roth,Rainer Gehrke,Jens Rieger +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, small angle X-ray scattering was used to study the deformation mechanism of high-density polyethylene that was stretched beyond the natural draw ratio, and an insight into the cooperative deformational behavior being mediated via slippage of micro-fibrils was gained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of the Beaucage model
TL;DR: The Beaucage model is used to analyze small-angle scattering (SAS) data from fractal and particulate systems as mentioned in this paper, which is an approximate form of an earlier polymer fractal model that has been generalized to cover a wider scope.
Journal ArticleDOI
Small‐angle x‐ray scattering from the surfaces of reversed‐phase silicas: Power‐law scattering exponents of magnitudes greater than four
TL;DR: In this article, the small-angle x-ray scattering from fully and partially derivatized porous silicas has been studied, and the magnitudes of the exponents increased with the alkyl chain length and with the degree of surface derivatization.

Statistical Mechanics of Fluid Mixtures
TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical potentials of the components of gas mixtures and liquid solutions are obtained in terms of relatively simple integrals in the configuration spaces of molecular pairs, and the molecular pair distribution functions appearing in these integrals are investigated in some detail, in their dependence upon the composition and density of the fluid.
Book
The optical principles of the diffraction of x-rays.
TL;DR: In this paper, Bragg et al. describe the Optik der R6ntgenstrahlen in Raumgitter and leitet damit fiber zu den experimentellen Methoden and Ergebn]ssen, die den folgenden B~nden vorbehalten bleiben.
Journal ArticleDOI
Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering
W. Ehrenberg,A. Franks +1 more
TL;DR: The neighbourhood of the direct beam is, for a variety of reasons, easily obscured by scattered radiation and insufficient collimation, so that special measures such as very long film-specimen distances or focusing crystal monochromators have been used for obtaining satisfactory photographs.
