Patterns in Mie scattering

TL;DR: In this article, the Mie scattered intensity for an arbitrary sphere of radius R and refractive index m is plotted versus the dimensionless parameter qR, where q=4πλ−1sin(θ/2) is the scattering wavevector at scattering angle θ for wavelength λ.
Journal ArticleDOI

Small-angle neutron scattering studies of starch granule structure

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the racemose model for amylopectin and found that each raceme fit optimally the SANS scattering data when it was assumed to be either a squat cylinder or ellipsoid with dimensions of 150 × 60 A.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of tungsten nanoparticles by solvothermal decomposition of tungsten hexacarbonyl

TL;DR: Tungsten nanoparticles were prepared by thermal decomposition of tungsten hexacarbonyl [W(CO) 6 ] (2mmol) at 160°C in presence of a mixture of (1:1) surfactants, oleic acid (6mmol), and trioctyl phosphine oxide (TOPO) under a blanket of Ar gas as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Voids in amorphous semiconductors

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) to investigate density fluctuations occurring in amorphous semiconductors prepared by sputtering, evaporation and electrodeposition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Atomic scale characterization of organometallic vapor phase epitaxial growth using in-situ grazing incidence X-ray scattering

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the application of grazing incidence X-ray scattering to the study of organometallic vapor phase epitaxial (OMVPE) growth of GaAs were presented.

Statistical Mechanics of Fluid Mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical potentials of the components of gas mixtures and liquid solutions are obtained in terms of relatively simple integrals in the configuration spaces of molecular pairs, and the molecular pair distribution functions appearing in these integrals are investigated in some detail, in their dependence upon the composition and density of the fluid.

The optical principles of the diffraction of x-rays.

TL;DR: In this paper, Bragg et al. describe the Optik der R6ntgenstrahlen in Raumgitter and leitet damit fiber zu den experimentellen Methoden and Ergebn]ssen, die den folgenden B~nden vorbehalten bleiben.

Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering

TL;DR: The neighbourhood of the direct beam is, for a variety of reasons, easily obscured by scattered radiation and insufficient collimation, so that special measures such as very long film-specimen distances or focusing crystal monochromators have been used for obtaining satisfactory photographs.
