Transformation behavior of PdAuSi metallic glasses

TL;DR: In this article, the transformation behavior of roller-quenched amorphous Pd 0.165 alloys, after rapid heating to temperatures near to or above T g, is reported.

Polydisperse systems. I. Scattering function for polydisperse fluids of hard or permeable spheres

L. Blum, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the scattering function for a polydisperse fluid of hard spheres is given in the Percus-Yevick approximation for a simple model of interpenetrable particles introduced in order to widen the applicability of their results to colloid and polymer problems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morphological study on the effect of elastomeric impact modifiers in polypropylene systems

TL;DR: In this article, it was established that the incorporation of an impact modifier altered the superstructure of the polypropylene matrix by decreasing the average size of spherulites through which the impact strength of the composite may be influenced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Consensus Bayesian assessment of protein molecular mass from solution X-ray scattering data.

TL;DR: A Bayesian inference approach was developed affording an accuracy above that of the individual methods, and reports MM estimates together with a credibility interval, that can be used in combination with concentration-dependent MM methods to further validate the MM of proteins in solution, or as a reliable stand-alone tool in instances where an accurate concentration estimate is not available.

Size, Stability, and Porosity of Mesoporous Nanoparticles Characterized with Light Scattering

TL;DR: It is hypothesize that conventional light scattering (LS) methods can be used for a rigorous characterization of medium sensitive nanoparticles’ properties, like size, stability, and porosity, and suggest that the multiangle LS methods could be use for the size, Stability, and structure characterization of mesoporous nanoparticles.

Statistical Mechanics of Fluid Mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical potentials of the components of gas mixtures and liquid solutions are obtained in terms of relatively simple integrals in the configuration spaces of molecular pairs, and the molecular pair distribution functions appearing in these integrals are investigated in some detail, in their dependence upon the composition and density of the fluid.

The optical principles of the diffraction of x-rays.

TL;DR: In this paper, Bragg et al. describe the Optik der R6ntgenstrahlen in Raumgitter and leitet damit fiber zu den experimentellen Methoden and Ergebn]ssen, die den folgenden B~nden vorbehalten bleiben.

Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering

TL;DR: The neighbourhood of the direct beam is, for a variety of reasons, easily obscured by scattered radiation and insufficient collimation, so that special measures such as very long film-specimen distances or focusing crystal monochromators have been used for obtaining satisfactory photographs.
