Solving the generalized indirect Fourier transformation (GIFT) by Boltzmann simplex simulated annealing (BSSA)

TL;DR: In this article, the Boltzmann simplex simulated annealing (BSSA) algorithm was used to find the global minimum of the hypersurface of colloidal particles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flow-enhanced solution printing of all-polymer solar cells

TL;DR: The key aspect of this method lies in the design of fluid flow using a microstructured printing blade, on the basis of the hypothesis of flow-induced polymer crystallization, which resulted in a ∼90% increase in the donor thin film crystallinity and reduced microphase separated donor and acceptor domain sizes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Closing the Folding Chamber of the Eukaryotic Chaperonin Requires the Transition State of ATP Hydrolysis

TL;DR: It is shown that unlike GroEL, TRiC does not close its lid upon nucleotide binding, but instead responds to the trigonal-bipyramidal transition state of ATP hydrolysis, and nucleotide analogs inducing this transition state confer an asymmetric conformation onTRiC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Human breast cancer specimens : Diffraction-enhanced imaging with histologic correlation-improved conspicuity of lesion detail compared with digital radiography

TL;DR: Six of the seven breast cancer specimens examined with diffraction-enhanced imaging at 18 keV with a silicon crystal with use of the silicon 333 reflection in Bragg mode showed enhanced visibility of surface spiculation that correlated with histopathologic information, including extension of tumor into surrounding tissue.
Journal ArticleDOI

Particle Size, Particle Size Distribution, and Related Measurements of Supported Metal Catalysts

TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that the most accessible and convenient combination at present is that of Fourier line profile x-ray analysis and chemisorption, albeit at the expense of some analysis in the former case.

Statistical Mechanics of Fluid Mixtures

TL;DR: In this paper, the chemical potentials of the components of gas mixtures and liquid solutions are obtained in terms of relatively simple integrals in the configuration spaces of molecular pairs, and the molecular pair distribution functions appearing in these integrals are investigated in some detail, in their dependence upon the composition and density of the fluid.
Book

The optical principles of the diffraction of x-rays.

TL;DR: In this paper, Bragg et al. describe the Optik der R6ntgenstrahlen in Raumgitter and leitet damit fiber zu den experimentellen Methoden and Ergebn]ssen, die den folgenden B~nden vorbehalten bleiben.

Small-Angle X-Ray Scattering

TL;DR: The neighbourhood of the direct beam is, for a variety of reasons, easily obscured by scattered radiation and insufficient collimation, so that special measures such as very long film-specimen distances or focusing crystal monochromators have been used for obtaining satisfactory photographs.
