(CdSe)ZnS Core-Shell Quantum Dots - Synthesis and Characterization of a Size Series of Highly Luminescent Nanocrystallites
B. O. Dabbousi,Javier Rodríguez-Viejo,F. V. Mikulec,Jason Heine,Hedi Mattoussi,R. Ober,K. F. Jensen,‡,§ and,Moungi G. Bawendi +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a synthesis of highly luminescent (CdSe)ZnS composite quantum dots with CdSe cores ranging in diameter from 23 to 55 A was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and Characterization of Monodisperse Nanocrystals and Close-Packed Nanocrystal Assemblies
TL;DR: In this article, solution phase syntheses and size-selective separation methods to prepare semiconductor and metal nanocrystals, tunable in size from ∼1 to 20 nm and monodisperse to ≤ 5%, are presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Manufacture, characterisation and application of cellular metals and metal foams
TL;DR: The possibilities for manufacturing metal foams or other porous metallic structures are reviewed in this article, where various manufacturing processes are classified according to the state of matter in which the metal is processed, such as solid, liquid, gaseous or ionised.
Book
Organic geochemistry of natural waters
TL;DR: The first part of the book as mentioned in this paper is a general overview of the amount and general nature of dissolved organic carbon in natural waters, and the second part is a summary of the data that has accumulated from many disciplines over the last decade.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interparticle Coupling Effect on the Surface Plasmon Resonance of Gold Nanoparticles: From Theory to Applications
Sujit Kumar Ghosh,Tarasankar Pal +1 more
TL;DR: This paper presents a meta-analysis of four-Wave Mixing and its applications in nanofiltration, which shows clear trends in high-performance liquid chromatography and also investigates the role of nano-magnifying lens technology in this process.

Studies concerned with the structure of collagen. I. An x-ray investigation of the denaturation of collagen
TL;DR: In this article, it was found that when collagen tendons are stretched taut in a clamp, immersed in water, and then subjected to temperatures above the shrink temperature, the intensity of the low angle pattern diminishes appreciably.
Journal ArticleDOI
Observations on small‐angle interference maxima in synthetic organic polymers
E. P. H. Meibohm,A. F. Smith +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the ordering of the structures responsible for small-angle diffraction may be two- or three-dimensional rather than one-dimensional and that such ordering must extend over larger volumes of space than previously published data would indicate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Double Crystal and Slit Methods in Small Angle X‐Ray Scattering
TL;DR: In this paper, a double calcite crystal spectrometer was used for the detection of Cu Kα-radiation with an angular resolution of about 10 seconds of arc and an effective incident flux of more than 106 counts per second while wing intensities may be as low as 1 count per second.
