Investigation of powder flowability at low stresses: Influence of particle size and size distribution
TL;DR: In this paper, ball indentation and shear cell methods are applied for glass beads of various size distributions, and the influence of particle size distribution on the constraint factor is explored. But, it is not known how constraint factors are influenced by particle properties.

Caking of white crystalline sugar
Barbara Rogé,Mohamed Mathlouthi +1 more
TL;DR: The parameters affecting sugar caking investigated in this paper are moisture content, ERH (Equilibrium Relative Humidity) grain size, crystal shape, temperature and flow function, and flowability is measured with Jenike cell for the shear stress determination in consolidated sugar sample.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization of granular mixing in a helical ribbon blade blender
TL;DR: In this article, the effects of fill height and blade rotation speed on mixing homogeneity have been studied and it has been observed that mixing is relatively fast towards a final mixing state within approximately 100 blade rotations for different combinations of material, fill height, and blade rotational speed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tendency to bridge over openings for chopped Phalaris and straw of Triticum mixed in different proportions with wood chips
TL;DR: In this article, the bridging tendency of wood chips in mixed wood chips and grass and wheat straw was investigated for different particle sizes and particle shapes. But the results indicated that mixing wood chips into grass and straw is not a promising concept to decrease their bridging tendencies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Agglomeration on Flowability of Baby Food Powders
Karolina Szulc,Andrzej Lenart +1 more
TL;DR: Wet agglomeration with 2% lecithin solution and 50% sugar solution reduced particle size and bulk density, improved flowability of received Agglomerates in relation to agglomers received with water as a wetting liquid.
