Abstract
The American Joint Committee on Cancer and the International Union for Cancer Control update the tumor-node-metastasis (TNM) cancer staging system periodically. The most recent revision is the 7th edition, effective for cancers diagnosed on or after January 1, 2010. This editorial summarizes the background of the current revision and outlines the major issues revised. Most notable are the marked increase in the use of international datasets for more highly evidenced-based changes in staging, and the enhanced use of nonanatomic prognostic factors in defining the stage grouping. The future of cancer staging lies in the use of enhanced registry data standards to support personalization of cancer care through cancer outcome prediction models and nomograms.

Progranulin promotes colorectal cancer proliferation and angiogenesis through TNFR2/Akt and ERK signaling pathways

TL;DR: PGRN was highly expressed and had clinical relevance with CRCs since its overexpression was associated with advanced stages of CRCs, poorer patients' prognosis, and increased expression of proliferation and angiogenesis markers, providing the new insight into the mechanism of PGRN in tumor proliferation andAngiogenesis.

Matched computed tomography segmentation and demographic data for oropharyngeal cancer radiomics challenges

TL;DR: These public challenges were designed to leverage radiomics and/or machine learning workflows to discriminate HPV phenotype in one challenge and to identify patients who will develop a local recurrence in the primary tumor volume in the second one (Local recurrence prediction challenge) in a segmented, clinically curated anonymized oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) data set.

Comparative Effectiveness of Treatment Strategies for Bladder Cancer With Clinical Evidence of Regional Lymph Node Involvement

TL;DR: A subset of patients with cN+ bladder cancer achieves long-term survival through combined-modality therapy, with chemotherapy and cystectomy, is associated with the best outcomes.
