The immune system, adaptation, and machine learning

TLDR
A dynamical model for the immune system is described that is based on the network hypothesis of Jerne, and is simple enough to simulate on a computer, and has a strong similarity to an approach to learning and artificial intelligence introduced by Holland, called the classifier system.

Genetic-AIRS: A hybrid classification method based on Genetic Algorithms and Artificial Immune Systems

TL;DR: The new algorithm, called Genetic-AIRS, is a combination of the Artificial Immune Resource System (AIRS) algorithm with well-known evolutionary computation techniques and is executed globally, in contrast with AIRS which is executed locally.

Artificial immune system based framework for multi-robot cooperation

TL;DR: The coordination and communication among different robots in this work is established by utilizing the concept of immune system and a model of Idiotypic network theory, which is successfully implemented in a group of simulated heterogeneous robots.

Online negative databases

TL;DR: The benefits of negative detection for obscuring information are explored in the context of Artificial Immune Systems (AIS), and possible representations and reversibility properties for privacy-enhancing negative databases are reviewed.

Research on Computation Model and Key Parameters of AIRS Supervised Classification in Remote Sensing Images

TL;DR: Experimental results show that this framework of remote sensing images classification based on Artificial Immune Recognition System (AIRS) is better than Maximum Likelihood Classification method.

Formal specification of an immune based agent architecture

TL;DR: This paper presents a formal specification of the idiotypic network theory viewed as an agent architecture and constitutes a starting point for understanding, reuse and implementations of this architecture.

Somatic generation of antibody diversity

TL;DR: In the genome of a germ-line cell, the genetic information for an immunoglobulin polypeptide chain is contained in multiple gene segments scattered along a chromosome which are assembled by recombination which leads to the formation of a complete gene.

A mathematical model illustrating the theory of turbulence

TL;DR: In this article, the application of statistical analysis and statistical mechanics to the problem of turbulent fluid motion has attracted much attention in recent years, and the authors investigated a complicated system of nonlinear equations, in order to find out enough about the properties of the solutions of these equations that insight can be obtained into the various patterns exhibited by the field and that data can be derived concerning the relative frequencies of these patterns in the hope that in this way a basis may be found for the calculation of important values.
