Tumor Exome Analysis Reveals Neoantigen-Specific T-Cell Reactivity in an Ipilimumab-Responsive Melanoma

TL;DR: Cancer exome–guided analysis of T-cell reactivity in this patient revealed reactivity against two neoantigens, including a dominant T- cell response against a mutant epitope of the ATR (ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related) gene product that increased strongly after ipilimumab treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Guidelines for the use of flow cytometry and cell sorting in immunological studies

Andrea Cossarizza, +246 more
TL;DR: A rapid search in PubMed shows that using "flow cytometry immunology" as a search term yields more than 68 000 articles, the first of which is not about lymphocytes as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anti-CTLA-4 therapy broadens the melanoma-reactive CD8+ T cell response.

TL;DR: The observation that anti–CTLA-4 treatment induces a significant number of newly detected T cell responses—but only infrequently boosts preexisting immune responses—provides strong evidence for anti-CTla-4 therapy–enhanced T cell priming as a component of the clinical mode of action.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long-distance modulation of bystander tumor cells by CD8+ T-cell-secreted IFN-γ

TL;DR: Using multiday intravital imaging, it is demonstrated that T cell recognition of a minor fraction of tumor cells leads to sensing of IFNγ by a large part of the tumor mass, revealing how, through IFNα, CD8+ T cells modulate the behavior of remote tumor cells, including antigen-loss variants.
