01 Nov 2018TL;DR: A design for civilian GPS (GPS L2 1.2276 GHz Band) utility purpose is proposed having a circular patch having a slot and truncation on two sides and the simulated outcomes satisfactorily suit with the GPS antenna characteristics.
Abstract: In the furtherance of technological evolution, the wireless communication system has its own contribution by providing an expanded number of technological devices among which microstrip antenna occupies a dynamic area. Microstrip antenna field has a variety of features and Global Positioning System (GPS) application is one of them. In this research work, a design has been proposed for civilian GPS (GPS L2 1.2276 GHz Band) utility purpose. The model is a circular patch having a slot and truncation on two sides which has been simulated using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio Suite software. The results obtained from the simulation shows an impressive impedance matching having a return loss of around −31dB, RHCP (Right Hand Circular Polarization) on the desired frequency with a bandwidth coverage of nearly 41 MHz and also an overall gain of 6.55dBi. All these simulated outcomes from this unique proposed design satisfactorily suit with the GPS antenna characteristics.

03 May 2019TL;DR: This project uses some sensors and Arduino to design and implement the Affordable Smart ECG Monitoring System and Arduino and Bluetooth module are used to collect and transfer the heart activity and send it to the mobile application.
Abstract: This project uses some sensors and Arduino to design and implement the Affordable Smart ECG Monitoring System. ECG monitoring is now becoming part of everyday life. Through ECG characteristics such as patient’s heartbeats, heart conditions, and heart disease can be analyzed. The proposed system sensed the patient’s ECG through 3 lead electrode system via AD8232 which amplifies minor and small bio-signals to the Arduino which processes them. This sensor was used to measure the heart's electrical activity called ECG. In this project, Arduino and Bluetooth module are used to collect and transfer the heart activity and send it to the mobile application. The current portable ECG technologies are costly so that anyone can’t use that on their home for an emergency if they want and this new technology is less expensive.

01 Nov 2019TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented results of finite element (FE) modelling of some experimental reinforced concrete (RC) specimens with anchorage of deformed steel reinforcing bars in tension, including the cases of end development and lapped splices of bars in specimens subjected to bending.
Abstract: The bond mechanism plays a decisive role when anchorage failure in a reinforced concrete (RC) member occurs. A refined model of bond–slip is therefore needed to analyse RC members by analytical or finite element (FE) modelling where the anchorage of reinforcement is critical, such as at a lapped-splice or in any situation where the strength of a bar is required to be developed to achieve its ultimate strength. This paper presents results of FE modelling of some experimental RC specimens with anchorage of deformed steel reinforcing bars in tension, including the cases of end development and lapped splices of bars in specimens subjected to bending. The FE modelling of the anchorage length specimens with bond–slip laws calibrated from experimental results was better able to predict the load–deflection behavior observed during experimental tests. A comparison of the results obtained using the calibrated bond–slip laws with those using conventional Federation Internationale du Beton bond–slip laws is made and discussion is provided on the effects of the anchorage lengths and bar diameters on the bond–slip relationships.

23 Dec 2020TL;DR: Three embedding techniques (such as Word2Vec, GloVe, and FastText) with different hyperparameters implemented on a Bengali corpus that consists of 180 million words are presented.
Abstract: Distributional word vector representation orword embedding has become an essential ingredient in many natural language processing (NLP) tasks such as machine translation, document classification, information retrieval andquestion answering. Investigation of embedding model helps to reduce the feature space and improves textual semantic as well as syntactic relations. This paper presents three embedding techniques (such as Word2Vec, GloVe, and FastText) with different hyperparameters implemented on a Bengali corpusconsists of180 million words. The performance of the embedding techniques is evaluated with extrinsic and intrinsic ways. Extrinsic performance evaluated by text classification, which achieved a maximum of 96.48% accuracy. Intrinsic performance evaluatedby word similarity (e.g., semantic, syntactic and relatedness) and analogy tasks. The maximum Pearson (ˆr) correlation accuracy of 60.66% (Ssˆr) achieved for semantic similarities and 71.64% (Syˆr) for syntactic similarities whereas the relatedness obtained 79.80% (Rsˆr). The semantic word analogy tasks achieved 44.00% of accuracy while syntactic word analogy tasks obtained 36.00%
