TL;DR: This paper has used a fertility model that finds the possible meanings of English word into Bangla word with corresponding probabilities and has used distortion model for calculating the probabilities of all possible alignments.
Abstract: A statistical translation model is a mathematical model in which the process of human language translation is statistically modeled. Model parameters are automatically estimated using a corpus of translation pairs. This paper presents a statistical model for translating the different kinds of English sentences into Bangla. A lot of alignments are possible between translation of English and Bangla sentences. In this paper, we have used a fertility model that finds the possible meanings of English word into Bangla word with corresponding probabilities. For calculating the probabilities of all possible alignments we have used distortion model and chosen the best one that have the highest probability. For searching process, an efficient algorithm called A* search algorithm has been used in this paper that provides a good result. We have tested our proposed model using several English sentences with different word lengths and got successful translation for most of the test cases.

01 Dec 2019TL;DR: In this paper, index guided photonic crystal fiber (PCF) was used to measure the concentration of sulfuric acid (H 2 SO 4 ) -one of the most used industrial chemical substances.
Abstract: At present different electronic devices are used in chemical industries in sensing purpose but they have major limitations in the industrial environment due to their vulnerability to temperature and pressure. The reported work depicted the use of index guided photonic crystal fiber (PCF) for the very first time to measure the concentration of sulfuric acid (H 2 SO 4 ) – one of the most used industrial chemical substances. Three fundamental PCF structures - octagonal, decagonal and circular are employed to serve the purpose whose parameters are optimized to obtain better performance while minimizing the limitations. Also, the two most significant optical parameters - confinement loss and dispersion are also analyzed and low loss and negative dispersion are obtained within the range of telecommunication wavelength $1.5\mu \mathrm{m}$ to $1.8\mu \mathrm{m}$ with satisfactory dispersion co-efficient of −287.8 ps/km.nm at $1.55 \mu \mathrm{m}$ . So the designed structures can also be used in telecommunication, cable TV or other high-speed optical networks. Moreover, comparatively economical, less noise interference, higher sensitivity, fast response, authenticity, and compactness has made these PCFs more suitable than an electronic device in sensing application.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss suitable microalgae candidates for edible bio-oil production, as well as the implementation of nanotechnology to improve the growth of different micro algae species.
Abstract: Microalgae have been preferred as an excellent candidate for edible bio-oil production in recent decades due to the abundant cellular polyunsaturated fatty acid, high photosynthetic rate, and biomass productivity and significant amount of oil extraction superior to terrestrial oleaginous crops. This chapter discusses suitable microalgae candidates for edible bio-oil production, as well as the implementation of nanotechnology to improve the growth of different microalgae species. In addition, it provides a comprehensive analysis of the numerous technologies for microalgae pretreatment processes prior to bio-oil extraction, recovery, and purification. Finally, it discusses the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of bio-oil production from microalgae as well as other high-value products through an integrated approach. This approach can play a positive role in the near future to mitigate the high demand for edible oil consumption as well as other value-added products can be applied significantly in cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

01 May 2016TL;DR: The factors which are affecting the quality of data transmission are revealed and the derived optimum parameters to get the finest solution for Bangladesh are stated.
Abstract: Free space optics (FSO) has brought a solution to the ever growing need of high speed data transfer. It is sensitive to local weather conditions which results in a considerable loss of signal power over the communication path. This paper reveals the factors which are affecting the quality of data transmission and also states derived optimum parameters to get the finest solution for Bangladesh. Different weather conditions are considered and the parameters for both clear and foul weather conditions have been optimized. Simulation shows that the FSO system in worst weather condition achieves 2.5 Gbps data rate with 1550 nm wave length at the bit error rate (BER) of around 10−9 for 3km link range without using any optical amplifier. By using optical amplifier the link rang can be extended.

21 May 2015TL;DR: Experimental evaluation reveals that the proposed agent can display emotive expressions correctly 92% of the times from the users' text input and it creates a better feeling of making interaction to the partners than the emoticon bases systems.
Abstract: Now a day, people are getting intensely attached to communicate with others in virtual environments using various virtual agents due to their popularity. Most of these environments used emoticon for displaying emotion of interacting partners to each other. However, emoticon based systems often makes the interaction lifeless and monotonous. This paper focus on developing a human-like virtual agent that produces facial expressions with motions (such as head movement and eye blinks) during human-computer interaction scenarios through analyzing the input text messages of users. This agent is capable to display six facial expressions namely, happy, sad, angry, disgust, fear, and surprise based on the chatting partner's input text that makes the interaction enjoyable. Experimental evaluation reveals that the proposed agent can display emotive expressions correctly 92% of the times from the users' text input and it creates a better feeling of making interaction to the partners than the emoticon bases systems.
