Lepra: la realidad para el adolescente

Abstract: Leprosy is a contagious disease of a great disabling potential and the teenagers, living a changing phase of their lives, can be negatively influenced by the disease sequelae.. This study aims to characterize the teenagers with leprosy disease according to social-demographic aspects; to proceed epidemic-operational analysis of leprosy disease; check teenagers’ knowledge about leprosy disease and the way they reacted after they found out they had the disease; identify the changes occurred in the teenager’s life and the difficulties after they had the disease. It is an explorative and descriptive research which involved 31 teenagers who are carriers of the leprosy disease and are assisted by the Family Health Strategy, in Sobral munipality Ceará. The results point out the need of an integral and continuous attendance to the teenager with leprosy disease, avoiding that this disease brings significant changes to his/her life that can difficult to the construction of his/her new identity. Communication as a tool for health promotion in a clinic of dialysis

Abstract: This is a study of qualitative nature and it was supported with the referential of the dialectical hermeneutics seeking for an understanding of the concepts of the professionals of health that integrate the clinical practice of dialysis in health promotion, besides of elucidating how the communication process among professionals and the fellows that carry out dialysis contributes to a clinical practice of health promotion. For this they were used as methods of collection of data, free interviews and observations--participant besides consultations to documental sources. The results evidence that there is not consent in the conception of the clinical practice as field promoter of health, however it is inferred in the subjectivism of the professionals the desire of an effective and efficient communication in the sense of giving a new meaning to the field of the clinical practice in a perspective of promotion of health.

Necesidades de cualificación de los enfermeros de salud de la familia en Ceará, Brasil

Abstract: O estudo objetiva identificar as necessidades de qualificacao e o perfil dos enfermeiros da Estrategia Saude da Familia-ESF. A pesquisa do tipo exploratorio-descritivo, realizado com 36 enfermeiros dos municipios de Acarau, Coreau, Chaval, Granja, Marco e Santana do Acarau, que atuam na ESF e alunos do Curso de Especializacao na modalidade de Residencia em Saude da Familia ministrado pela Escola de Formacao em Saude da Familia Visconde de Saboia. Os municipios fazem parte do Projeto Acoes Basicas de Saude do Ceara - Programa de Qualificacao da Secretaria da Saude do Estado do Ceara,Brasil, em parceria com a agencia alema Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufdau-KfW e o Instituto Brasileiro de Qualidade Nuclear-IBQN. Para a coleta de dados foram realizadas seis oficinas durante o mes de julho de 2004, nos proprios municipios, momento em que foi aplicado um questionario. As necessidades de qualificacao estao centradas em acoes programaticas, relativas as diferentes fases da vida � infância, adolescencia, adulta e idosa-, como tambem a legislacao e metodos e procedimentos comuns ao fazer do/a enfermeiro/a. Atentamos a necessidades de uma formacao dos enfermeiros com referencia as concepcoes de promocao da saude, organizacao do servico, cuidado familiar na perspectiva do conceito de territorio.
