Biohydrogen production: prospects and limitations to practical application

TLDR
In this paper, the authors compare the hydrogen production rates of various bio-hydrogen systems by first standardizing the units of hydrogen production and then calculating the size of biohydrogen system that would be required to power proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells of various sizes.

Continuous photo-fermentative hydrogen production from lactate and lactate-rich acidified food waste

TL;DR: A continuous photo-fermentative hydrogen (H2) production from lactate was attempted at various hydraulic retention times (HRTs) (48–120 h) to elucidate different performances and substrate conversion efficiency reached 35%, which was slightly lower than that of feeding pure lactate.
