Biohydrogen production: prospects and limitations to practical application

TLDR
In this paper, the authors compare the hydrogen production rates of various bio-hydrogen systems by first standardizing the units of hydrogen production and then calculating the size of biohydrogen system that would be required to power proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells of various sizes.

Biohydrogen production from cornstalk wastes by anaerobic fermentation with activated sludge

TL;DR: An anaerobic fermentation process to produce hydrogen from cornstalk wastes was systematically investigated in this article, where the authors designed batch experiments numbered series I, II and III to investigate the effects of acid pretreatment, enzymatic hydrolysis, and time and pH on hydrogen production by using the natural sludge as inoculant.

Hydrogen-methane production from pulp & paper sludge and food waste by mesophilic–thermophilic anaerobic co-digestion

TL;DR: In this article, the mesophilic anaerobic bio-hydrogen production from PPS (pulp & paper sludge) and FW (food waste) was investigated, and the subsequent an-aerobic digestion of the effluent for the methane production under thermophilic conditions by a two-stage process.
