Biohydrogen production: prospects and limitations to practical application

TLDR
In this paper, the authors compare the hydrogen production rates of various bio-hydrogen systems by first standardizing the units of hydrogen production and then calculating the size of biohydrogen system that would be required to power proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells of various sizes.

Ultrasonication for biohydrogen production from food waste

TL;DR: In this article, the applicability of ultrasonication for enhancement of hydrogen production from food wastes was evaluated in three different systems: a conventional continuously-stirred tank reactor (CSTR) fed raw food waste; system B is a conventional continuous-stored tank reactor fed sonicated food waste, and system C (US patent-pending) is the sonicated biological hydrogen reactor (SBHR) which comprised a CSTR connected with an ultrasonic probe at the bottom of the reactor.
