Journal ArticleDOI

Symptomatic response to antiarrhythmic drug therapy is modulated by a common single nucleotide polymorphism in atrial fibrillation.

TL;DR: It is suggested that a common SNP on chromosome 4q25 associated with AF modulates response to AAD therapy and points to a potential role for stratification of therapeutic approaches by genotype.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Natural History of Lone Atrial Flutter

TL;DR: The rate of thromboembolic events observed in this sample of patients with lone atrial flutter was at least as high as that observed in patients with atrial fibrillation, and survival without stroke or transient ischemic attack was estimated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of Atrial Fibrillation on Tricuspid and Mitral Annular Dilatation and Valvular Regurgitation

TL;DR: Lone AF is associated with annular Dilatation of both mitral and tricuspid valves, but the annular dilatation and valvular regurgitation are significantly greater in the tric Suspid valve.
Journal ArticleDOI

SAMe-TT2R2 score, time in therapeutic range, and outcomes in anticoagulated patients with atrial fibrillation.

TL;DR: In a "real world" cohort of consecutive patients with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, a high SAMe-TT2R2 score (reflecting poor anticoagulation control with poor time in therapeutic range) was associated with more bleeding, adverse cardiovascular events, and mortality during follow-up.
