Heck Reactions in Aqueous Miniemulsions
TL;DR: In this paper, a Heck cross-coupling reaction, one of the most used approaches to form C-C bonds using a palladium catalyst, in a miniemulsion was demonstrated.

Mechanistic Insights of a Selective C-H Alkylation of Alkenes by a Ru–based Catalyst and Alcohols
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the whole reaction pathway using several computational DFT approaches including alternative pathways, higher in energy, and showed that the upper barrier of the catalytic cycle can be observed in the presence of a cationic Ru-alkenyl species, which is initially formed from two equivalents of the olefin substrate via vinylic C−H activation and an alkane elimination step.

Preparation of 4-substituted aryl olefins.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors described a process for the preparation of 4-substituted aryl olefins from 4 -substitized aryls iodides in an ester solvent.
