Proceedings ArticleDOI

Abstract 3152: CanSeq: prospective clinical whole-exome sequencing of FFPE tumor samples.

TL;DR: CanSeq is described, a prospective clinical WES platform to detect genomic alterations in FFPE tumor samples and identify clinically actionable and biologically meaningful alterations in order to aid clinical decision-making and inform future research.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Abstract GS3-07: Genome-wide copy number analysis of chemotherapy-resistant metastatic triple-negative breast cancer from cell-free DNA

TL;DR: The first large-scale genomic characterization of metastatic TNBC to the authors' knowledge is presented, derived exclusively from cfDNA, and a novel association of gains of 18q11 and/or 19p13 with poor metastatic prognosis, independent of clinicopathologic factors and TFx is identified.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tangent normalization for somatic copy-number inference in cancer genome analysis

TL;DR: The Tangent method, which uses a unique linear combination of normal samples as a reference for each tumor sample, to subtract systematic errors that vary across samples, and a modification of Tangent, called Pseudo-Tangent, which enables denoising through comparisons between tumor profiles when few normal samples are available.
