TL;DR: The Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study as discussed by the authors has been used to describe cancer burden for 29 cancer groups in 195 countries from 1990 through 2017 to provide data needed for cancer control planning, including cancer incidence, mortality, years lived with disability, years of life lost, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs).

Airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2: The world should face the reality.

TL;DR: It is extremely important, that the national authorities acknowledge the reality that the virus spreads through air, and recommend that adequate control measures be implemented to prevent further spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in particularly removal of the virus-laden droplets from indoor air by ventilation.

TL;DR: The pace of progress in reducing smoking prevalence has been heterogeneous across geographies, development status, and sex, and as highlighted by more recent trends, maintaining past rates of decline should not be taken for granted, especially in women and in low- SDI to middle-SDI countries.

How can airborne transmission of COVID-19 indoors be minimised?

TL;DR: It is argued that existing evidence is sufficiently strong to warrant engineering controls targeting airborne transmission as part of an overall strategy to limit infection risk indoors, and that the use of engineering controls in public buildings would be an additional important measure globally to reduce the likelihood of transmission.

Ambient Air Pollution Exposure Estimation for the Global Burden of Disease 2013

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors combined satellite-based estimates, chemical transport model simulations, and ground measurements from 79 different countries to produce global estimates of annual average fine particle (PM2.5) and ozone concentrations at 0.1° × 0. 1° spatial resolution for five-year intervals from 1990 to 2010 and the year 2013.
