TL;DR: A two-stage genome-wide association study of renal cell carcinoma in 3,772 affected individuals and 8,505 controls of European background and followed up 6 SNPs in 3 replication studies reports previously unidentified genomic regions associated with RCC risk that may lead to new etiological insights.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intake of vegetables, legumes, and fruit, and risk for all-cause, cardiovascular, and cancer mortality in a European diabetic population.

TL;DR: The findings support the current state of evidence from general population studies that the protective potential of vegetable and fruit intake is larger for CVD than for cancer and suggest that diabetes patients may benefit from a diet high in vegetables and fruits.
Journal ArticleDOI
