TL;DR: Submergence tolerance of the escape and quiescence strategies entails not only the corresponding regulation of growth, carbohydrate catabolism and energy metabolism during submergence but also co-ordinated recovery of photosynthesis, growth and carbohydrate partitioning following de-submergence.

TL;DR: A method to identify the influence of the node based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed and several different centrality measures are considered as the multi-attribute of complex network in AHP application.
Abstract: In the field of complex networks, how to identify influential nodes in the network is still an important research topic. In this paper, a method to identify the influence of the node based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed. AHP, as a multiple attribute decision making (MADM) technique has become an important branch of decision making since then. Every centrality measure has its own disadvantages and limitations, thus we consider several different centrality measures as the multi-attribute of complex network in AHP application. AHP is used to aggregate the multi-attribute to obtain the evaluation of the influence of each node. The experiments on four real networks and an informative network show the efficiency and practicability of the proposed method.

TL;DR: It is found that an alkali treatment may increase the effective surface area, which is in turn available for superior bonding with the matrix, and contributes to a better thermal stability for bamboo fibers.
Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of surface treatment on the morphology and thermo-mechanical properties of bamboo fibers. The fibers are subjected to an alkali treatment using 4 wt % sodium hydroxide (NaOH) for 1 h. Mechanical measurements show that the present concentration has an insignificant effect on the fiber tensile strength. In addition, systematic experimental results characterizing the morphological aspects and thermal properties of the bamboo fibers are analyzed by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and differential scanning calorimetry. It is found that an alkali treatment may increase the effective surface area, which is in turn available for superior bonding with the matrix. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis reveals that the alkali treatment leads to a gradual removal of binding materials, such as hemicellulose and lignin from the bamboo fiber. A comparison of the curve of thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry for the treated and untreated samples is presented to demonstrate that the presence of treatment contributes to a better thermal stability for bamboo fibers.

TL;DR: In this paper, a complete mathematical model for the HP memristor which takes into consideration the inter-dependence between memristance, charge and flux along with the boundary and initial conditions of operation is presented.
Abstract: This paper contributes to the understanding of memristor operation and its possible application fields through: (a) derivation of a complete mathematical model for the HP memristor which takes into consideration the inter-dependence between memristance, charge and flux along with the boundary and initial conditions of operation; (b) an introduction of detailed charge- and flux-controlled SPICE memristor models realizing the proposed mathematical memristor model; (c) The incorporation of the memristor model in the SPICE realization of a third-order chaotic system where a single HP memristor acts as the nonlinear part of the system. Simulation results are provided to validate the mathematical model and the synthesis and operation of the third-order chaotic system.
