Effect of Bempedoic Acid on Serum Uric Acid and Related Outcomes: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of the available Phase 2 and Phase 3 Clinical Studies
TL;DR: Bempedoic acid seems to have unfavourable effects on SUA, creatinine level and the incidence of gout, and it is suggested that further studies are performed both to elucidate the pathogenetic mechanisms underlying these associations and to verify the long-term safety of this treatment.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe technical and downstream considerations for the derivation and validation of polygenic risk scores and current evidence for their efficacy and safety, and discuss the implementation of these scores in clinical medicine for uses including risk prediction and screening algorithms for coronary artery disease, prioritization of patient subgroups that are likely to derive benefit from treatment, and efficient prospective clinical trial designs.
