Directed synthesis of μ-1,3,5 bridged dicyanamides by thermal decomposition of μ-1,5 bridged precursor compounds.

TL;DR: Investigations by IR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray structure analysis, show that the intermediates of the ligand-deficient 1 : 1 intermediates form a more condensed layered structure in which half of the pristine μ-1,5 bridged dca anions become μ- 1,3, 5 bridging.

A new luminescent 3D metal–organic framework possessing a rare (3,5)-connected net which can be transformed from a 2D double layer

TL;DR: A new 3D metal-organic framework possessing a rare (3,5)-connected net has been synthesized and characterized and complex can be formed from a 2D double layer by thermally liberating the coordinated water and dmf molecules, simultaneous with luminescence-increased changes.

Self-assembly of Ag(I)-based complexes and layered coordination polymers bridged by (2-thiazolyl)sulfides

TL;DR: In this paper, two metal atoms bridged by 2-Mt ligands (μ2-N,S) in head-to-tail (for 1 and 2) and headto-head (for 3) manner were used to self-assemble a nuclear complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel oxalato bridged supramolecular ternary complex of Cu(II) involving energetically significant π-hole interaction: Experimental and theoretical studies

TL;DR: In this article, a novel oxalate bridged supramolecular ternary complex has been synthesized from purely aqueous media and characterized using elemental analysis, spectroscopic (IR, UV-Vis-NIR and ESR) and single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques.

An Unprecedented Stimuli-Controlled Single-Crystal Reversible Phase Transition of a Metal–Organic Framework and Its Application to a Novel Method of Guest Encapsulation

TL;DR: The flexibility and unexpected dynamic behavior of a third-generation metal-organic framework are described for the first time and encapsulation of C60 is achieved by trapping this molecule during the reversible 2D to 3D phase transition, whereas no adsorption is observed by straight solvent diffusion into the pores of the3D phase.

Systematic Design of Pore Size and Functionality in Isoreticular MOFs and Their Application in Methane Storage

TL;DR: Metal-organic framework (MOF-5), a prototype of a new class of porous materials and one that is constructed from octahedral Zn-O-C clusters and benzene links, was used to demonstrate that its three-dimensional porous system can be functionalized with the organic groups and can be expanded with the long molecular struts biphenyl, tetrahydropyrene, pyrene, and terphenyl.
