Tuning the fluorescence emission in mononuclear heteroleptic trigonal silver(I) complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, the photophysical properties of these species have been investigated, both in solution and in the solid state: they showed intense fluorescence when excited with UV light, with λmax of emission comprised between 440-460 nm (in solution) and 460-498 nm (solid state) and lifetime decay of a few nanoseconds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Transition metal complexes with sterically demanding ligands. I. Synthesis and X-ray crystal structure of 1,5-cyclooctadiene palladium methyl triflate, (COD)Pd(Me)(OTf) and its cationic penta-coordinate adducts with sterically demanding 2,9-diaryl-substituted 1,10-phenanthroline ligands

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, use and X-ray crystal structure of the cyclooctadiene Pd-triflate methyl complex 1 was described and evidence for ionization of the triflate ligand in 1 in solution was presented through IR, 19F-NMR and conductivity measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mono-, bi- and multi-nuclear silver complexes constructed from bis(benzimidazole)-2-oxapropane ligands and methacrylate: syntheses, crystal structures, DNA-binding properties and antioxidant activities

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of AgNO3 with three structurally related ligands in the absence of light gave three new silver coordination complexes, namely, [Ag2(methacrylate)2(Etobb)2]·CH3CN 1, Ag(mETHACrylate)(Bobb) 2 and Ag2(n 3]n 3, where Etobb = 1,3-bis(1-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-2-oxapropane, Bobb = 1-3-

Synthesis, Biological, Spectral, and Thermal Investigations of Cobalt(II) and Nickel(II) Complexes of N-Isonicotinamido -2',4'-Dichlorobenzalaldimine.

TL;DR: A new series of 12 complexes of cobalt (II) and nickel(II) with N-isonicotinamido-2′,4′-dichlorobenzalaldimine (INH-DCB) with the general composition MX2 · n(INH)-DCB have been synthesized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mn(II) complexes of some acylhydrazones with NNO donor sites: Syntheses, a spectroscopic view on their coordination possibilities and crystal structures

TL;DR: Mn(II) complexes derived from a set of acylhydrazones were synthesised and characterized by elemental analyzes, IR, UV-vis and X-band EPR spectral studies as well as conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements as mentioned in this paper.

Metal complexes as ligands—IV [1,2,3]: Bi- and Tri- nuclear complexes derived from metal complexes of tetradentate salicylaldimines

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of bi-and tri-nuclear complexes formed by using the donor properties of the two cis-oxygen atoms in metal (M) complexes of tetradentate Shiff bases (TSB) derived from salicylaldehyde or o-hydroxyacetophenone are reported.

The Donor Properties of Pyridine N-Oxide

TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of pyridine N-oxide with a variety of acceptors has been investigated in this article, where the new substances Co(ClO4)26L, Co(NO3)24L), CoCl23L and CoCl2LH20, NiClO 4H2O, NiBr26L and NiBr2L H2O have been isolated and characterized by molecular conductance measurements in non-aqueous solvents, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and infrared spectra.
