Facile synthesis of silver(i)-carbene complexes. useful carbene transfer agents

TL;DR: In this paper, the crystal structure of compound 1 revealed that linear [Ag(Et2-Bimy)2]+ and [AgBr2]- groups were associated through a short AgI−AgI contact (2.956 A).
Journal ArticleDOI

The Hydrophilic Phosphatriazaadamantane Ligand in the Development of H2 Production Electrocatalysts: Iron Hydrogenase Model Complexes

TL;DR: The complexes were solution electrocatalysts that decreased over-voltage for H(+) reduction from HOAc in CH(3)CN by up to 600 mV, and the most effective electrocatalyst is the asymmetric 1-PTA species, which promotes H(2) formation from HO Ac at the Fe(0)Fe(I) redox level.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cd(II) and Cu(II) complexes of polydentate Schiff base ligands: synthesis, characterization, properties and biological activity

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis of the Schiff base ligands, 4-[(4-bromo-phenylimino)-methyl]-benzene-1,2,3-triol (A1), 4]-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenymalin)-methyl]benzenes- 1,2-diol (A5), and their Cd(II) and Cu(II)-metal complexes, stability constants and potentiometric studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, spectral characterization, in vitro antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxic activities of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with 1,2,4-triazole Schiff bases.

TL;DR: A series of metal complexes of cobalt(II), nickel( II) and copper(II) have been synthesized with newly synthesized biologically active 1,2,4-triazole Schiff bases derived from the condensation of 3-substituted-4-amino-5-mercapto-1-2, 4-Triazole and 8-formyl-7-hydroxy-4

Uranyl chloride complexes of pyridine-N-oxide and 4-substituted pyridine-N-oxides: Infra-red spectra, electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility studies

TL;DR: In this article, the metal-ligand bond formation has taken place by the donation of the lone pair of p -electrons on oxygen of the NO group to the metal atom orbitals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Four- and five-co-ordination in complexes of palladium(II) and platinum(II) with NN′-disubstituted thio- and seleno-ureas

TL;DR: In this article, the spectrochemical parameters of the involved chromophores are discussed on the assumption of a distorted square-pyramidal structure of the five-coordinated forms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrosyl complexes of transition metals. II. Tertiary phosphine nitrosyl cobalt complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, the reaction between Co 2 X 2 (NO) 4 (X = Cl, Br, I) and tertiary phosphines is described. Triphenylphosphine gives equilibrium mixture of CoClPPh 3 (NO), and [Co(PPh3 ) 2(NO) 2 ]Cl.
Journal ArticleDOI

Decaborane anions and the synthesis of polyhedral borane complexes of mercury(II) and cobalt(II)

TL;DR: The stoicheiometric solvates NaB10H13,2·5dioxan and Na2B 10H12,2thf, and the unsolvated salt (Me4NB 10H13) have been isolated and characterized as mentioned in this paper.
