Manganese-Schiff base complexes as catalysts for water photolysis

TL;DR: Parallel-mode Mn(III) EPR shows that complexes 1-4 not only mimic reactivity but also share some structural characteristics from partially assembled natural OEC clusters.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design and characterization of Cu(II) complexes from 2-benzoylpyridine benzhydrazone: Crystallographic evidence for coordination versatility

TL;DR: From the crystal structure, it is clear that the hydrazone adopts the E conformation about the azo bond to attach to the metal through the N(py)-N(azo)-O chelating system.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of Ru(II) complexes of some selected NS donors

TL;DR: A number of Ru(II) complexes of six monoacid bidentate NS donors in the form of ring substituted 4-phenylthiosemicarbazides have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, conductance and magnetic susceptibility measurements as well as by various spectroscopic techniques such as UV-Vis, IR and NMR spectroscopy as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and spectroscopic studies of 2,5-hexanedione bis(isonicotinylhydrazone) and its first raw transition metal complexes.

TL;DR: The thermal decomposition of the complexes revealed the outer and inner solvents where the end product in most cases is metal oxide.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, Characterisation, and X‐ray Crystal Structure of New NiII, PdII, and PtII Complexes of Tridentate Pyrazole‐Based Ligands with an NOS‐Donor Set

TL;DR: In this article, a single-crystal X-ray diffraction was used to determine the crystal structures of the ligands 1-(3-thia-5-hydroxypentyl)-3,5dimethylpyrazole (thpd) and 1-(1)-thia-6-hydroxyhexyl) 3,5-dimethyl pyrazole(thhd) with [PdCl2(CH3CN)2], [PtCl2CH3C2(Ch3CN), and NiCl2·6H2O]

Metal complexes as ligands—IV [1,2,3]: Bi- and Tri- nuclear complexes derived from metal complexes of tetradentate salicylaldimines

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of bi-and tri-nuclear complexes formed by using the donor properties of the two cis-oxygen atoms in metal (M) complexes of tetradentate Shiff bases (TSB) derived from salicylaldehyde or o-hydroxyacetophenone are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Donor Properties of Pyridine N-Oxide

TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of pyridine N-oxide with a variety of acceptors has been investigated in this article, where the new substances Co(ClO4)26L, Co(NO3)24L), CoCl23L and CoCl2LH20, NiClO 4H2O, NiBr26L and NiBr2L H2O have been isolated and characterized by molecular conductance measurements in non-aqueous solvents, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and infrared spectra.
