Spectral, XRD, SEM and biological activities of transition metal complexes of polydentate ligands containing thiazole moiety
TL;DR: Metal complexes of o-vanillidene-2-aminobenzothiazole have been prepared and characterized by elemental and spectral data as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermo gravimetric analysis (TG/DTA), revealing the non-electrolytic nature of these complexes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes of S-benzyl-β-N-(2-pyridyl)methylenedithiocarbazate (HNNS): Bioactivity of the HNNS schiff base and its Zn(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) complexes and the X-ray structure of the [Zn(NNS)2] complex
M. T H Tarafder,Azahari Kasbollah,Karen A. Crouse,Abdul Manaf Ali,Bohari Mohd. Yamin,Hoong-Kun Fun +5 more
TL;DR: A tridentate Schiff base having HNNS donor sequence was prepared by condensing S-benzyldithiocarbazate (NH2NHCSSCH2Ph) with pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde Complexes of this ligand with Cu(II), Cd (II) and Zn(II) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and various physico-chemical techniques as discussed by the authors.

Ligandless, anionic, arylpalladium halide intermediates in the Heck reaction.
Brad P. Carrow,John F. Hartwig +1 more
TL;DR: These anionic complexes insert olefins much faster than the corresponding neutral, P(t-Bu)(3)-ligated complexes, indicating that the anionic complex forms rapidly and reversibly in situ from the neutral species prior to migratory insertion.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, Structure and Light-Harvesting Properties of Some New Transition-Metal Dithiocarbamates Involving Ferrocene
TL;DR: Nine new transition-metal dithiocarbamates involving ferrocene (Fc), namely, [M(FcCH(2)Bzdtc)(2)] (M=Ni(II) (1) and UO (2) (VI) (9), have been synthesised and characterised by micro analyses, IR spectroscopy, (13)C NMR spectroscopic, and in three cases by single-crystal X-ray analysis
Journal ArticleDOI
Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with ONNO asymmetric tetradentate Schiff base ligand: synthesis, spectroscopic characterization, theoretical calculations, DNA interaction and antimicrobial studies
TL;DR: In this article, a novel Schiff base was synthesized from the condensation of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and isatin with 4-nitro-o-phenylenediamine.

The Donor Properties of Pyridine N-Oxide
TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of pyridine N-oxide with a variety of acceptors has been investigated in this article, where the new substances Co(ClO4)26L, Co(NO3)24L), CoCl23L and CoCl2LH20, NiClO 4H2O, NiBr26L and NiBr2L H2O have been isolated and characterized by molecular conductance measurements in non-aqueous solvents, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and infrared spectra.
