Journal ArticleDOI

Magneto–structural studies of monohydroxo-bridged dicopper(II) complexes M[Cu2L2(OH)]·2H2O (M=Na+ (1) and K+ (2); H2L=2,6-bis[N-(phenyl)carbamoyl]pyridine). Effect of CuOHCu bridge angle on antiferromagnetic coupling

TL;DR: Using a tridentate bisamide ligand 2,6-bis[N-(phenyl)carbamoyl]pyridine (H2L), in its deprotonated form, two new monohydroxo-bridged dicopper(II) complexes M[Cu2L2(OH)]·2H2O (M=Na+ (1) and K+ (2)) have been prepared and characterised by a number of X-ray crystallography as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structural, magnetic and spectroscopic characterization of two unusual end-on bis(μ-acetato/μ-nitrato) bridged copper(II) complexes with N′-[phenyl(pyridin-2-yl)methylidene]furan-2-carbohydrazide and (2E,4Z)-N,2-dimethylhepta-2,4,6-trienamide-1-phenyl-1-pyridin-2-ylmethanimine (1:1) as capping ligands

R.N. Patel
TL;DR: In this article, two binuclear end-on bis(μ-acetato/μ-nitrato) bridged complexes have been synthesized and characterized, and superoxide dismutase activity of these complexes have also been measured.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and characterization of platinum–sterol hydrazone complexes with biological activity against Leishmania (L.) mexicana

TL;DR: This complex represents a new chemotherapeutic alternative to be evaluated in depth in experimental models of leishmaniasis and is characterized by a combination of ESI-MS (electrospray ionization-mass spectroscopy), UV-vis, infrared and NMR spectroscopies; elemental analysis and molar conductivity.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tetranuclear mixed-metal M(II)2Cu(II)2 complexes derived from a phenol-based macrocyclic ligand having two N(amine)2O2 and two N(imine)2O2 metal-binding sites.

TL;DR: Cryomagnetic studies for the Cu( II)2Co(II)2 complex indicate an antiferromagnetic spin-exchange interaction within each dinuclear Cu(II’s) coppers unit (J = -9.5 cm(-1) based on H = -2JS(Cu)S(Co)).
Journal ArticleDOI

Rare Earth Iodide Complexes of 4-(2′,4′-Dihydroxyphenylazo) Antipyrine

TL;DR: In this article, ten rare earth iodides with 4-(2′, 4′-dihydroxyphenylazo)antipyrine (H-RAP) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrical conductance in nonaqueous solvents, infrared and electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibilities and thermogravimetric studies.

Metal complexes as ligands—IV [1,2,3]: Bi- and Tri- nuclear complexes derived from metal complexes of tetradentate salicylaldimines

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of bi-and tri-nuclear complexes formed by using the donor properties of the two cis-oxygen atoms in metal (M) complexes of tetradentate Shiff bases (TSB) derived from salicylaldehyde or o-hydroxyacetophenone are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Donor Properties of Pyridine N-Oxide

TL;DR: The coordination chemistry of pyridine N-oxide with a variety of acceptors has been investigated in this article, where the new substances Co(ClO4)26L, Co(NO3)24L), CoCl23L and CoCl2LH20, NiClO 4H2O, NiBr26L and NiBr2L H2O have been isolated and characterized by molecular conductance measurements in non-aqueous solvents, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and infrared spectra.
