Transcribed enhancers lead waves of coordinated transcription in transitioning mammalian cells

Erik Arner, +108 more
- 27 Feb 2015 -
TL;DR: The data support a highly generalizable model in which enhancer transcription is the earliest event in successive waves of transcriptional change during cellular differentiation or activation.
Journal ArticleDOI

FANTOM5 CAGE profiles of human and mouse samples

Shuhei Noguchi, +185 more
- 29 Aug 2017 -
TL;DR: In the FANTOM5 project, transcription initiation events across the human and mouse genomes were mapped at a single base-pair resolution and their frequencies were monitored by CAGE coupled with single-molecule sequencing to represent the consequence of transcriptional regulation in each analyzed state of mammalian cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arx Is a Direct Target of Dlx2 and Thereby Contributes to the Tangential Migration of GABAergic Interneurons

TL;DR: Although Arx has additional functions independent of the Dlx pathway, it is established a direct genetic relationship that controls critical steps in the development of telencephalic GABAergic neurons, contributing to elucidating the genetic hierarchy that likely underlies the etiology of a variety of human neurodevelopmental disorders.
