Single hadron response measurement and calorimeter jet energy scale uncertainty with the ATLAS detector at the LHC

Georges Aad, +3040 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors derived the uncertainty on the calorimeter energy response to jets of particles for the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and compared the Monte Carlo simulation using proton-proton collisions at centre-of-mass energies of sqrt(s) = 900 GeV and 7 TeV collected during 2009 and 2010.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hunt for new phenomena using large jet multiplicities and missing transverse momentum with ATLAS in 4.7 fb-1 of √s = 7 TeV proton-proton collisions

Georges Aad, +2894 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for new particles decaying to large numbers of jets in association with missing transverse momentum, using 4.7 fb(-1) of pp collision data at root s = 7 TeV collected by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider in 2011, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Observation of spin correlation in tt̄ events from pp collisions at √s=7TeV Using the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3100 more
TL;DR: A measurement of spin correlation in t (t) over bar production is reported using data collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.1 fb(-1) as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV using the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3022 more
TL;DR: A measurement of the top-antitop production charge asymmetry A_C is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb^-1 of pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for scalar bottom quark pair production with the ATLAS detector in pp collisions at √s=7TeV

Georges Aad, +3066 more
TL;DR: In an R-parity conserving minimal supersymmetric scenario, assuming that the scalar bottom quarks decays exclusively into a bottom quark and a neutralino, 95% confidence-level upper limits are obtained in the b(1) - χ(1)(0) mass plane such that for neutralino masses below 60 GeV scalarBottom masses up to 390 GeV are excluded.
