Capsaicinoids but not their analogue capsinoids lower plasma cholesterol and possess beneficial vascular activity
Weihuan Huang,Wai San Cheang,Xiaobo Wang,Lin Lei,Yuwei Liu,Ka Ying Ma,Fangrui Zheng,Yu Huang,Zhen-Yu Chen +8 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the effects of capsaicinoids and capsinoids on plasma lipids, relaxation of the aorta, atherosclerotic plaque development, and fecal sterol excretion in hamsters fed a high-cholesterol diet concluded that capsicinoids but not capsinoid could favorably modulate plasmalipids and possess beneficial vascular activity.

Dynamic state estimation
Yu Huang,Joan Llach +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a set of particles is provided for use in estimating a location of a state of a dynamic system (1010), and a local-mode seeking mechanism is applied to move one or more particles in the set of particle nodes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interpretable molecular models for molybdenum disulfide and insight into selective peptide recognition
TL;DR: An interpretable force field is introduced for MoS2 with record performance that reproduces structural, interfacial, and mechanical properties in 0.1% to 5% agreement with experiments and explains the relative attraction and role of the 20 amino acids using computational and experimental data.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ambipolar Barristors for Reconfigurable Logic Circuits
Yuan Liu,Guo Zhang,Hailong Zhou,Zheng Li,Rui Cheng,Yang Xu,Vincent Gambin,Yu Huang,Xiangfeng Duan +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated, for the first time, that both the carrier concentration and majority carrier type in the sandwiched silicon can be readily modulated by gate potential penetrating through graphene and enable a new type of ambipolar barristors with an ON-OFF ratio exceeding 103.
