Estimating a location of an object in an image

Yu Huang, +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a particle-based framework is used to estimate the location of an object in a particular image of a sequence of images using a particle filter, and the estimated location of the object is changed based on the estimated trajectory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Policosanol has no antioxidant activity in human low-density lipoprotein but increases excretion of bile acids in hamsters.

TL;DR: Evidence is provided that in addition to the effect of HMG-CoA reductase, the cholesterol-lowering activity of policosanol is partially mediated by its inhibition on the absorption of bile acids, but these data disprove the claim that policoanol is an antioxidant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of SrFexTi1-xO3-δ nanocubes with tunable oxygen vacancies for selective and efficient photocatalytic NO oxidation

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided detailed insight into the relationship between oxygen vacancy manipulation by extrinsic Fe3+ substitution in SrTiO3 host lattice and the photocatalytic performance of NO abatement.
Journal ArticleDOI

Angiotensin 1-7 Protects against Angiotensin II-Induced Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Endothelial Dysfunction via Mas Receptor

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that Ang 1–7 ameliorates Ang II-stimulated ER stress to raise NO bioavailability, and subsequently preserves endothelial function.

System and Method for Online Media Preview

TL;DR: In this paper, a system and method for online media preview extracts a plurality of preview frames from a media file, which are then stored in a layered data structure and scaled to a lower resolution so that the preview file formed by the preview frames is reduced in size.
