TL;DR: A fully tunable, narrow-band and efficient single-photon source based on a whispering gallery mode resonator that supports a cavity-assisted spontaneous parametric down-conversion process and yields anti-bunching with g(2)(0)<0.2.
Abstract: The generation of high-quality single-photon states with controllable narrow spectral bandwidths and central frequencies is key to facilitate efficient coupling of any atomic system to non-classical light fields. Such an interaction is essential in numerous experiments for fundamental science and applications in quantum communication and information processing, as well as in quantum metrology. Here we implement a fully tunable, narrow-band and efficient single-photon source based on a whispering gallery mode resonator. Our disk-shaped, monolithic and intrinsically stable resonator is made of lithium niobate and supports a cavity-assisted spontaneous parametric down-conversion process. The generated photon pairs are emitted into two highly tunable resonator modes. We verify wavelength tuning over 100 nm of both modes with controllable bandwidth between 7.2 and 13 MHz. Heralding of single photons yields anti-bunching with g(2)(0)<0.2.

TL;DR: This second release of i-PI not only includes several new advanced path integral methods, but also offers other classes of algorithms that are moving towards becoming a universal force engine that is both modular and tightly coupled to the driver codes that evaluate the potential energy surface and its derivatives.

TL;DR: The atomic dynamics of the glass to that of the relevant crystal suggests the identical nature of the two features, including the boson peak, which matches the TA singularity in energy and height.
Abstract: We compare the atomic dynamics of the glass to that of the relevant crystal. In the spectra of inelastic scattering, the boson peak of the glass appears higher than the transverse acoustic (TA) singularity of the crystal. However, the density of states shows that they have the same number of states. Increasing pressure causes the transformation of the boson peak of the glass towards the TA singularity of the crystal. Once corrected for the difference in the elastic medium, the boson peak matches the TA singularity in energy and height. This suggests the identical nature of the two features.

TL;DR: This work builds a Markov game framework to model the interactive decision-making process based on the current state and information collected from previous time steps of cyberphysical systems under signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio-based denial-of-service attacks.
Abstract: We consider remote state estimation of cyberphysical systems under signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio-based denial-of-service attacks. A sensor sends its local estimate to a remote estimator through a wireless network that may suffer interference from an attacker. Both the sensor and the attacker have energy constraints. We first study an associated two-player game when multiple power levels are available. Then, we build a Markov game framework to model the interactive decision-making process based on the current state and information collected from previous time steps. To solve the associated optimality (Bellman) equations, a modified Nash Q-learning algorithm is applied to obtain the optimal solutions. Numerical examples and simulations are provided to demonstrate our results.

TL;DR: In this article, a fine-grained view of the financial performance implications of industrial service strategies is presented, which reveals that such strategies increase both the level and the growth of manufacturing firms' revenue streams.
Abstract: In many business markets, manufacturers seek service-led growth to secure their existing positions and continue to grow in increasingly competitive environments. Using longitudinal data from 513 German mechanical engineering companies and latent growth curve modeling, this study offers a fine-grained view of the financial performance implications of industrial service strategies. By disentangling the revenue and profit implications of industrial service strategies, findings reveal that such strategies increase both the level and the growth of manufacturing firms’ revenue streams. In contrast, they reduce the level but improve the growth of manufacturers’ profits. Results further suggest that services supporting the clients’ actions (SSC) and services supporting the supplier’s product (SSP) affect performance outcomes in different ways. SSCs directly affect revenue and profit streams. In turn, SSPs display only indirect effects on financial performance mediated through SSCs. A moderator analysis identifies two organizational contingencies that facilitate service business success: Only companies with decentralized decision-making processes and a high share of loyal customers can expect favorable financial results from industrial service strategies. In summary, this research provides significant insights and managerial guidance for turning service strategies into financial successes.
