Calcium antagonistic activity of Bacopa monniera on vascular and intestinal smooth muscles of rabbit and guinea-pig.

TL;DR: The results indicate that spasmolytic effect of the B. monniera extract in smooth muscles is predominantly due to inhibition of calcium influx via both voltage and receptor operated calcium channels of the cell membrane.

Rapid plant regeneration and analysis of genetic fidelity of in vitro derived plants of Chlorophytum arundinaceum Baker--an endangered medicinal herb.

TL;DR: An efficient in vitro multiplication system via multiple shoot bud induction and regeneration has been developed in Chlorophytum arundinaceum using shoot crown explants and high multiplication frequency, molecular, cytological and phenotypic stability ensures the efficacy of this important endangered medicinal herb.
