An Overview of Natural Polysaccharides as Biological Macromolecules: Their Chemical Modifications and Pharmaceutical Applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a review article aims at discussing various sources, pharmaceutical applications and the different techniques used for modification of natural polymers and their derivatives in order to improve physicochemical parameters of the dosage form.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reviews on 1,4-naphthoquinones from Diospyros L.

TL;DR: The following information is an attempt to cover the developments in the biology and phytochemistry of 1,4-naphthoquinones isolated from this genus, as well as the studies done and the suggested mechanisms regarding their activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimicrobial activity and cytotoxicity of Zanthoxylum budrunga.

TL;DR: The petroleum ether, chloroform and methanol extracts of the leaves and barks of Zanthoxylum budrunga have been evaluated for their antibacterial, antifungal and cytotoxic properties.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anthelmintic Activity of Vernonia anthelmintica. Seeds Against Trichostrongylid Nematodes of Sheep

TL;DR: It was found that whereas V. anthelmintic activity against nematodes, it was not comparable to levamisole (97.8% to 100% reduction in EPG) and it may be suggested that further research on a large scale be carried out with a large number of animals on higher doses than those used in the current study.
Journal ArticleDOI

Molecular docking and inhibition studies on the interactions of Bacopa monnieri's potent phytochemicals against pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus.

TL;DR: Molecular binding interaction of an in silico data demonstrated that luteolin, an existing phytochemical of Bacopa monnieri, has more specificity towards the DNA gyrase binding site and could be a potent antimicrobial compound.
