Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm of the Santorini duct in a patient with pancreas divisum diagnosed by transpapillary biopsy.

TL;DR: A 76-year-old patient presented with pancreatic duct dilatation on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with no symptoms and no previous history of hepatobiliary or pancreatic disease, and chronic pancreatitis because of pancreas divisum was assumed to be the reason for the duct dilated.

Advances in Gastrointestinal Surgery

TL;DR: In this article , the advances in some areas of gastrointestinal surgery over the past year or two are discussed, including adhesive small bowel obstruction, chemoradiotherapy for oesophageal carcinoma, pain in chronic pancreatitis, cystic tumours of the pancreas, targeted therapy in gastric cancer, acute necrotizing pancreatitis and surgery for failed ileoanal pouch.

A Review of Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Chemoablative Techniques for Pancreatic Cystic Lesions

TL;DR: In this article , an endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)-guided therapeutic management of pancreatic cystic lesions (PCLs) is presented. But the authors focus on EUS-guided fine needle injection (FNI) of alcohol and chemotherapeutic agents.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nomogram to predict malignancy in branch duct type intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms

TL;DR: The data show that mural nodule and cystic size can be used as predictor of malignancy in BD-IPMN and the combined model of mural nodules and tumor size showed good performance in identifying malignant BD- IPMNs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contrast-Enhanced CT and Ultrasonography Features of Intracholecystic Papillary Neoplasm with or without associated Invasive Carcinoma

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors assessed the contrast-enhanced CT and ultrasonography (US) findings of intracholecystic papillary neoplasm (ICPN) and determine the imaging features predicting ICPN associated with invasive carcinoma (ICPN-IC).

International consensus guidelines for management of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms and mucinous cystic neoplasms of the pancreas.

TL;DR: Ovarian-type stroma has been proposed as a requisite to distinguish MCN from IPMN, and some other distinct features to characterize IPMN and MCN have been identified, but there remain ambiguities between the two diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Diagnosis of pancreatic cystic neoplasms: a report of the cooperative pancreatic cyst study.

TL;DR: Of tested markers, cyst fluid CEA is the most accurate test available for the diagnosis of mucinous cystic lesions of the pancreas.
