Journal ArticleDOI

The Supernova–GRB connection

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of color superconductivity on the structure and formation of compact stars were studied and it was shown that a huge amount of energy, of the order of 1053 erg, can be released in the conversion from a (metastable) hadronic star into a (stable) hybrid or quark star, if the presence of a superconducting phase is taken into account.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron star cooling and GW170817 constraint within quark-meson coupling models

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used five different versions of the quark-meson coupling (QMC) model to compute astrophysical quantities related to the GW170817 event and the neutron star cooling process.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hybrid stars in the light of the massive pulsar PSR J1614-2230

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors performed a systematic study of hybrid star configurations using several parametrizations of a relativistic mean-field hadronic EoS and the NJL model for three-flavor quark matter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of density-dependent lepton fraction on the properties of protoneutron stars

TL;DR: In this paper, the density-dependent lepton fractions approach was used to describe the properties of matter with neutrino trapping and the results showed that the PNS equation of state is not significantly influenced by the low-density behavior difference between the two approaches.
Journal ArticleDOI

Models Of Strange Stars With A Crust And Strange Dwarfs

TL;DR: In this article, a series of configurations for two sets of bag model parameters and three different values of ro_cr were calculated to find the dependence of a star's mass M and radius R on the central density.
