Mass radius relation of compact stars in the braneworld

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors study macroscopic stellar properties of compact stars from the braneworld point of view using neutron star equations of state, and test the possibility of extra dimensions by solving the brane Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff equations obtained for three kinds of possible compact objects: hadronic, hybrid and quark stars.
Journal ArticleDOI

Astrophysical constraints on a parametric equation of state for neutron-rich nucleonic matter

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the feasibility of using an explicitly isospin-dependent parametric EOS for neutron star matter and reported a few new results regarding constraining parameters characterizing the high-density behavior of nuclear symmetry energy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaching percolation and conformal limits in neutron stars

- 03 Feb 2023 -
TL;DR: In this article , an ensemble of equations of state that fulfill multimessenger constraints is generated to statistically determine the properties of dense matter found inside neutron stars (NSs), and the speed of sound and trace anomaly are driven towards their conformal values at the center of massively massive NSs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surface of rapidly-rotating neutron stars: Implications to neutron star parameter estimation

TL;DR: In this article, an analytical formula for the oblate shape of a star is proposed to describe the surface of a rapidly rotating neutron star, which is used to estimate the radius of the star.
Journal ArticleDOI

The physics of dense hadronic matter and compact stars

TL;DR: In this article, the properties of hadronic phases of dense matter in compact stars are described and the effects of symmetry energy, onset of hyperons and meson condensation on stellar configurations are demonstrated on specific examples.
