A systematic comparison of copy number alterations in four types of female cancer

TL;DR: Investigation of different female, hormone-dependent cancers to identify common and diverse DNA aberrations, genes, and pathways reveals that some prominent copy number changes are shared in the four examined female, hormones-dependent cancer whereas others are definitive to specific cancer types.

Fine-Mapping of the 1p11.2 Breast Cancer Susceptibility Locus

Hisani N. Horne, +126 more
- 24 Aug 2016 -
TL;DR: Fine-mapping analysis of the 1p11.2 breast cancer susceptibility locus confirms this region to be limited to risk to cancers that are ER-positive, and in silico analyses showed that rs11249433 was located in a region that is likely a weak enhancer/promoter.
Journal ArticleDOI

Author Correction: Landscape of somatic mutations in 560 breast cancer whole-genome sequences.

Serena Nik-Zainal, +94 more

TL;DR: In the Methods section of this Article, ‘greater than’ should have been ‘less than‘ in the sentence ‘Putative regions of clustered rearrangements were identified as having an average inter-rearrangement distance that was at least 10 times greater than the whole-genome average for the individual sample’.
Journal ArticleDOI

Erratum: Signatures of mutational processes in human cancer (Nature (2013) 500 (415-421) DOI:10.1038/nature12477)

TL;DR: In the author list of this article, the surname of Marcin Imielinski was misspelled as "Imielinsk" as mentioned in this paper, which was corrected in the HTML and PDF of the original article online.
