Rapidity distributions in exclusive Z + jet and γ + jet events in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV

S. Chatrchyan, +2196 more
- 23 Dec 2013 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed a method for the CERN Collaboration to solve the problem of energy minimization in the context of the American Physical Society (APS) under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License.
Journal ArticleDOI

Search for excited quarks in the γ + jet final state in proton-proton collisions at √s=8TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2126 more
- 10 Nov 2014 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a search for excited quarks decaying into the photon+jet final state is presented based on data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 inverse femtobarns collected by the CMS experiment in proton-proton collisions at sqrt(s) = 8 TeV at the LHC.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inclusive and differential measurements of the tt charge asymmetry in pp collisions at √s=8 TeV

Vardan Khachatryan, +2297 more
- 10 Jun 2016 -
TL;DR: In this article, the t t-bar charge asymmetry is measured in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV, and the results are consistent within two standard deviations with zero asymmetry as well as with the predictions of the standard model.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the Lambda(b) polarization and angular parameters in Lambda(b) -> J/psi Lambda decays from pp collisions at root s=7 and 8 TeV

Albert M. Sirunyan, +2246 more
- 17 Apr 2018 -
TL;DR: An analysis of the bottom baryon decay was performed to measure the Λb polarization and three angular parameters in data from pp collisions at s=7 and 8TeV, collected by the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the strong coupling constant αS for bottom quarks at the Z0 resonance

Bernardo Adeva, +494 more
- 21 Nov 1991 -
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured the coupling strength of bottom quarks and light quarks at the Z0 resonance, in order to test the flavour independence of the strong interaction.
